In the early 1940s, Gordon Armour founded his own hauling operation out of Taylor Village, a small farming community near Moncton, New Brunswick. Starting with just one truck, he transported hay and gravel throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, earning a reputation for quality and dependability across the Canadian East Coast. Over decades, he grew his team and expanded his offerings, remaining flexible and committed to serving his clients’ various freight needs. 

GENERATIONS OF SERVICE EXCELLENCE & EXPANSIONS

In the 1960s, Gordon’s son, Wesley Armour, joined to manage the company’s day-to-day operations and fulfill our company vision to be the dominant gateway between Atlantic Canada and the world.

In 2021, Armour was acquired by the Seaboard Transport Group of Companies. The Seaboard Transport Group remains committed to continuing the legacy established by the Armour family and to upholding the values that have been at the core of Armour’s success.
